NSCDC Kano Command Dismisses Five Volunteer Personnel Over Indiscipline, Misconduct

The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has dismissed five volunteer personnel from service over allegations of unethical conduct, unprofessional behaviour, and gross indiscipline.

The dismissed personnel were identified as Yakubu Mubarak Yusuf, Isma’il Muhd, Adamu Auwalu, Abdulrazaq Suleiman, and Ahmad Sarki.

The State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan Agalama, approved their dismissal after reviewing findings on their conduct, which the Command said violated the Corps’ values, ethics, and operational standards.

Following the dismissal, the Command withdrew and seized all uniforms, accoutrements, identification materials, and other official kits previously issued to the affected individuals.

The Commandant also directed Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, and relevant officers across the state to take note of the development and ensure that the dismissed individuals are not recognised or engaged in any capacity on behalf of the Corps.

Agalama reiterated the Command’s zero-tolerance policy towards indiscipline, warning that personnel whose actions undermine the image and integrity of the Corps would face appropriate sanctions.

According to a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, the Kano State Command remains committed to professionalism, integrity, and effective service delivery in carrying out its statutory responsibilities.

The development comes as the Command continues efforts to strengthen discipline and accountability among its personnel across the state.
