JUST IN: St. Thomas Youths Stage Passion of Christ Drama in Kano

Members of the Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (CYON) at St. Thomas Royal Parish Kano are currently presenting a live drama depicting the Passion of Jesus Christ as part of activities marking Good Friday.

The event, held today, April 3, drew a large turnout of Catholic faithful and members of other Christian communities who traditionally gather each year to witness the symbolic reenactment of Christ’s suffering and crucifixion during the Lenten season.

The Passion play, a significant part of the 40-day Lenten observance, continues to serve as a moment of reflection and spiritual renewal for believers.

In attendance were the outgoing Parish Priest, Revd. Fr. Aminu James, alongside the Assistant Parish Priest, Revd. Fr. Anthony Ezedinachi, Revd. Fr. Alexander Sheyi, Revd. Fr. Isiyaku Dauda, Bro. Chukwuemeka Peter Okorie CYON president of the parish and other parish leaders, who joined worshippers in observing the solemn occasion.
