Fidelity Bank Plc has entered into a strategic partnership with Aircraft Finance Germany aimed at strengthening the aviation industry in Nigeria and across Africa.

The agreement was formalised in Germany, with Mr. Christian Hatje, Managing Director of Business Aviation and Senior Vice President Commercial at AFG, signing on behalf of the firm, while Mr. Stanley Amuchie, Executive Director and Chief Operations and Information Officer of Fidelity Bank, represented the bank.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, Hatje described the collaboration as a significant step toward advancing Africa’s aviation sector. He expressed confidence that the partnership would enable both organisations to develop innovative solutions that drive sustainable growth across the industry.

Under the arrangement, the two institutions will work together to identify and finance aviation opportunities, offering leasing and funding solutions to airlines and other industry players. The initiative is expected to support fleet modernisation, improve operational efficiency, and expand capacity within the sector.

Amuchie reaffirmed Fidelity Bank’s commitment to supporting aviation through customised financial services, noting that the partnership would enhance the bank’s ability to deliver sustainable financing solutions across Nigeria and the continent.

The collaboration reflects a shared objective of promoting long-term growth, encouraging investment, and creating sustainable opportunities within Africa’s aviation ecosystem.

With Nigeria positioned as a key hub for aviation development, the partnership is expected to combine AFG’s leasing expertise with Fidelity Bank’s industry knowledge to unlock new growth prospects.

The deal also aligns with AFG’s broader global expansion strategy, underscoring its commitment to structured aviation investments across international markets.
