Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is set to swear in Murtala Sule Garo as the new Deputy Governor of Kano State.
The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to hold today, Tuesday at the Coronation Hall of the Government House in Kano, with proceedings expected to begin by 11:00 a.m.
According to a statement issued by the governor’s media aide, Ibrahim Adam, the event is anticipated to attract key stakeholders, party supporters, and members of the public, alongside top government officials and dignitaries from within and outside the state.
Garo’s swearing-in follows his confirmation by the Kano State House of Assembly after successfully passing a screening exercise conducted by a 12-member committee.
The development marks a significant step in the state’s political landscape as the administration moves to fill the deputy governorship position.
