He reassured civil servants that the long-standing issue of gratuities and death benefits will be permanently resolved before the end of his first tenure.

The Governor also expressed appreciation to the leadership and members of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners and the Nigeria Labour Congress for their understanding and cooperation, thanking them for supporting the State Government’s drive to provide lasting relief to pensioners and families of deceased civil servants. While congratulating the beneficiaries, Governor Yusuf urged them to make judicious use of the funds received.

In their separate remarks, the Head of the Kano State Civil Service, Hajiya Bilkisu Maimota, and the Executive Chairman of the Kano Pension Fund Trustees, Habu Muhammad Fagge, commended the Governor for his commitment to clearing the extensive backlog of payments within the first three years of his administration.
