Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has been removed as Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), just hours after he led All Progressives Congress (APC) governors to submit President Bola Tinubu’s nomination and expression of interest forms in Abuja.
According to reports, the decision was taken at an emergency meeting of about 20 APC governors held in Abuja on Thursday night.
The meeting reportedly had strong attendance, with governors from several states including Ogun, Bayelsa, Enugu, and others in attendance, alongside other members of the forum.
Sources say the leadership change was part of internal restructuring discussions within the forum, although official details on the reason for his removal have not been fully disclosed at the time of filing this report.
