Kano Information Commissioner, Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, Congratulates Murtala Sule Garo on Emergence as Deputy Governor

The Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, has congratulated Murtala Sule Garo on his swearing-in as the Deputy Governor of Kano State, describing the development as a significant milestone in the state’s political and governance landscape.

In a congratulatory message, Waiya said Garo’s emergence reflects his wealth of experience, dedication to public service, and longstanding commitment to the progress and welfare of the people.

He noted that the new Deputy Governor has consistently demonstrated capacity, loyalty, and leadership qualities, which have positioned him for greater responsibility, expressing confidence that these attributes would be fully utilised in his new role.

Waiya further expressed optimism that Garo would work closely with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to drive the administration’s development agenda, strengthen institutional performance, and ensure effective implementation of policies aimed at improving citizens’ lives.

He added that strong collaboration between the Governor and his Deputy would enhance coordination within the state executive council and accelerate socio-economic development across key sectors.

The Commissioner also commended Governor Yusuf for what he described as a strategic and commendable decision, noting that it reflects the administration’s commitment to unity, inclusiveness, and purposeful governance.
