The Katsina State Police Command has announced significant breakthroughs in its ongoing fight against crime, arresting 120 suspects linked to armed robbery, kidnapping, murder, rape, drug trafficking and human trafficking within the last one month.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, disclosed the figures while briefing journalists on the progress of recent security operations across the state.

According to him, the coordinated raids led to the recovery of an AK-47 rifle, a locally fabricated gun, 183 rounds of live ammunition, several vehicles, a tricycle, four motorcycles, more than 200 rustled animals, hard drugs, and other incriminating items.

In addition to arrests, the police also rescued 47 kidnapped victims and 39 survivors of human trafficking, successfully reuniting them with their families. DSP Sadiq described the achievement as a major blow to criminal gangs operating across Katsina.

He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustaining the momentum, urging residents to continue providing credible intelligence and to avoid spreading misinformation that could hinder ongoing operations.
