The Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kano Strategic Command, CN DY Lawal, has received a courtesy visit from the Executive Director of the League for Societal Protection Against Drug Abuse (LESPADA), Ambassador Maryam Hassan, as both organisations renew their commitment to intensifying the fight against substance abuse in Kano State.
During the visit, Ambassador Hassan congratulated CN Lawal on his leadership and reaffirmed LESPADA’s dedication to supporting NDLEA’s operations across the state. She described the visit as a show of solidarity and expressed her organisation’s readiness to collaborate more closely in tackling the drug abuse menace affecting communities, especially the youth.

In response, CN Lawal appreciated Ambassador Hassan for her continued support and acknowledged the vital role LESPADA plays in advocacy and public enlightenment. He also called for stronger collaboration in analysing drug-related cases and designing community-driven strategies to curb the spread of illicit substances.
The development was disclosed in an official press release signed by Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics Sadiq Muhammad Maigatari, Public Relations Officer of the NDLEA Kano Strategic Command, issued on behalf of the Commander.
