The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has cautioned Nigerians against a fraudulent website circulating online under the title “INEC VOTERS CARD ONLINE REGISTRATION.”
In an official statement, the Commission made it clear that the platform is fake, misleading, and has no connection whatsoever with INEC.
According to the notice, INEC did not create, approve, or endorse the link currently being shared, including the URL: https://tinyurl.com/INEC-PVC-Registration-2026.
The Commission strongly advised members of the public not to visit the website or submit any personal information through it, describing the platform as fraudulent and potentially harmful.
Official Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) Portal
To avoid confusion, INEC reiterated that the only authorized portal for Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) services is its official website:
https://cvr.inecnigeria.org/Public/getStarted
The portal provides legitimate services such as:
- Updating voter registration details
- Transferring registration to another polling unit
- Replacing lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs)
- Locating registration centres for first-time applicants
INEC urged Nigerians to disregard the fake link and remain vigilant against misinformation and online scams.
For further enquiries, citizens are encouraged to contact the Commission through its official phone lines: 09050858629, 09050858675, and 09050858649.
Reaffirming its commitment to transparency and credibility, INEC stated that it remains dedicated to protecting the integrity of Nigeria’s voter registration process.
