Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf Greets Christians on Christmas, Calls for Peace and Unity in Kano

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has congratulated the Christian community in Kano State and across Nigeria on the celebration of Christmas 2025, urging citizens to embrace peace, tolerance, and harmonious coexistence.


The governor described Christmas as a season that highlights the values of love, sacrifice, compassion, and unity, noting that these principles remain critical to building a peaceful and inclusive society, particularly in a culturally and religiously diverse state like Kano.


Governor Yusuf called on Christians in the state to use the festive period as an opportunity to promote peace and strengthen unity among residents. He also appealed to all Kano citizens, regardless of religious or ethnic background, to continue living together with mutual respect and understanding.


Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to inclusiveness, the governor assured residents that his government remains dedicated to protecting the rights of all citizens and ensuring an environment where everyone can freely practice their faith without fear or discrimination.


He further urged religious leaders to continue preaching messages of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, stressing that unity remains a key driver of sustainable development and social stability in Kano State.


Governor Yusuf wished Christians a joyful Christmas celebration and prayed for a peaceful and prosperous New Year for all residents of the state.
He also advised motorists to adhere strictly to traffic regulations during the festive period to ensure the safety of lives and property.
