Executive members and coordinators of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Persons with Disabilities Support Organization from Kano State’s 44 local government areas on Tuesday paid a solidarity visit to the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, reaffirming their support for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The group, which serves as the umbrella body for APC members with disabilities across the state, said the visit was aimed at restating their confidence in the governor’s leadership and commitment to inclusive governance. The delegation described the engagement as a reflection of the growing political awareness and participation of persons with disabilities in Kano’s democratic process.

The delegation was led by Hon. Adnan Ali Daneji, former Special Adviser on Disability Matters, alongside other leaders of the disability community. Speaking on behalf of the group, Daneji pledged their resolve to mobilise support across the state and work towards the continued success of the Yusuf administration.

Receiving the delegation, Comrade Waiya commended the organisation for its unity, dedication, and political consciousness, noting that their show of solidarity demonstrated confidence in the governor’s development agenda and vision for Kano State.

He reiterated that the present administration remains committed to inclusive governance, stressing that every citizen, regardless of social, political, or economic background, has a place in the state’s development plans.

Waiya also assured the delegation that their proposal to organize a mega conference bringing together persons with disabilities from all 44 local government areas would receive due consideration and necessary support from the government.
He concluded by reaffirming the government’s resolve to build a Kano State where no one is left behind.
