AMATA Pledges Support for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Backs Development Agenda in Kano

The leadership and members of the Nigerian Amalgamated Traders and Artisans Welfare Development Association (AMATA) have reaffirmed their solidarity and support for the administration of His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.


The delegation, led by its Chairman, Alhaji Abdul’aziz Dalha Musa, paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, to formally register their confidence in the Governor’s leadership and ongoing development initiatives across Kano State.


During the visit, the association pledged continued support for the present administration and emphasized the readiness of traders and artisans to contribute meaningfully to the peace, stability, and economic growth of the State. The group also assured that it would mobilize widespread support to ensure continuity in governance in the interest of sustained development and prosperity.


In his remarks, Comrade Waiya informed the visiting delegation that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s recent political decision to rejoin the All Progressives Congress (APC) was taken in the broader interest of Kano State and aimed at strengthening the State’s development drive. He highlighted the numerous ongoing projects across the 44 Local Government Areas as clear evidence of the administration’s commitment to improving livelihoods and expanding opportunities, particularly for the youth.


The Commissioner further assured the association that traders and artisans remain key stakeholders in the State’s development agenda, noting that policies designed to strengthen commercial activities and enhance economic productivity would continue to receive due attention.


Comrade Waiya commended AMATA for its resolution to reaffirm support for the Governor and expressed appreciation for the association’s commitment to collaboration in advancing the collective interest of Kano State.
